Kiwanga’s multidisciplinary practice brings together sculpture, installation, film, and performance with anthropological research and a precise examination of historical structures of power, knowledge, and trade. Her works investigate materials as carriers of histories, economic relations, and social narratives, while at the same time opening up poetic spaces of perception and reflection.
