Group exhibition curated by Frederike Quander
Kunsthalle Bremen
Aug 26 – Aug 30, 2022

The Kunsthalle Bremen presents nine positions in contemporary art. Distinguished curators such as Severin Dünser, Hilke Wagner or Thomas D. Trummer have nominated nine artists from the German-speaking area. Their works can be seen in the Kunsthalle Bremen in an exhibition from 27 August to 30 October 2022. The “Prize of the Böttcherstraße in Bremen” is among the leading and highest awards in the field of contemporary art in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The competition features 30,000 Euro in prize money for the winner and, in 2022, it is held for the 48th time in the Kunsthalle Bremen. A prominent jury determines the winner of the prize during the course of the exhibition.

Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Niederösterreich
Jul 9, 2022

What Can Be Done?

Mama Mia
Group exhibition curated by Stense Andrea Lind-Valdan
Willumsen’s Museum, Frederikssund
Jun 17 – Jun 23, 2022

In MAMA MIA, the self-righteous, masculine artist persona of J.F. Willumsen is thrown overboard for a while, and his works are juxtaposed with contemporary art’s explorations of gender, sexuality and identity. As with Willumsen, the private and intimate is exhibited and staged by the invited artists, often with dance and the body in focus.

May 12 – May 22, 2022

Politics in Art
Group exhibition curated by Agnieszka Sachar
MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow, Krakow
Apr 28 – Apr 25, 2022

The exhibition Politics in Art presents – in six sections – the sceptical and critical approach of contemporary artists to the actions of those in power, exposing the artifice and mendacity of political strategies. It demonstrates that in the name of ambition, the desire to remain in power and the feeding of the dictatorial ego, politicians are capable of lying, manipulation and murder. Artists oppose this, both as critics and as soldiers.

Into the Valley of Despair: Discomfort and Unlearning
Group exhibition curated by Carina Martinez
Pfizer Building Brooklyn , New York
Apr 14 – Apr 27, 2022

Into the Valley of Despair is a group exhibition that stages a conversation between artistic works and practices contemplating the question: What makes discomfort so intrinsic to art and processes of learning? The project highlights artists’ attempts to draw attention to that which fundamentally lies outside of the conceivable, challenging themselves and/or their audience to remain vulnerable in approaching the unknown.
