This work features approximately 260 words, each representing a possible human action. Together, they form a lace-like structure that alternately conceals and reveals these actions. The title evokes the concept of action figures, traditionally marketed to boys and embodying qualities like strength, toughness, and heroism. Interconnected amongst each other, the words convey a sense of potential an embody the chaotic energy of action, creating a network of words that exist in a state of flux. These lines of connecting words draw inspiration from computer-generated representations of the human body. On one hand, the top layers raw materiality suggests a protective but permeable exterior, like an exoskeleton. Beneath this surface, a second layer hints at the hidden interior life that lies beyond the words.
