Six beaming red letters that read the word S-T-R-I-K-E. This work evokes a powerful word with a colour that supports its dynamic and even violent connotations. Using duct tape and pen she applies the details on this sheet of painted and plastered drywall. Despite the white background one can observe a series of cuts, dents and even small writings that read “is this anger or contempt”
and “listen.” This aesthetic dialogue includes a variety of textures and elements which reveal the affects hidden in language and put into question the inherent value of words as mediums for action.
