With Missing Šejla Kamerić deals with the loss and emptiness of a missing person. Each work is created out of a wooden hoop, normally used for embroidery. Contrary to the fabric usually used for embroidery, the fabric enclosed by the ring is of a very delicate white cotton. It is the fabric that muslim women use for their veils worn during funerals. While the fabric is left empty and not being filled with any embroidery, golden threads are hanging from the wooden hoop. At the end of the golden threads big needles are attached.
