Aminde’s paper work 12.000 Euro (grant) was created in 2011 as part of a work grant endowed with 12,000 euros. Using meticulous drawing and the frottage technique, Aminde used a graphite pencil to transfer the exact amount in the form of individual 1-euro coins onto a large-format piece of paper – they gather on it like a swarm. In this way, Aminde simultaneously visualises the material and non-material value of an artistic work grant given as unconditional funding.
