“THE GATE is an art walk with audio library that invites visitors to experience Hamburg’s vision of the ‘gateway to the world’ from new perspectives. From 4 June 2021, some sixteen art installations and a programme of site-specific podcasts at Hamburg’s HafenCity will offer visitors the opportunity to gain some deeper insights into the fabric of this up-andcoming urban district. While the art walk focuses on the gateway metaphor with its obvious and less obvious connotations, the audio library allows a look at both prominent and otherwise neglected areas of the urban landscape.”
