“Drawn from the collection of JoAnn Gonzalez Hickey, Walk the Distance and Slow Down presents a small glimpse into a much larger collection solely dedicated to the exploration of works on paper. “It is through the thoughtful and thorough vision of the collector that we are brought to genuinely question what constitutes a drawing and asked to reconsider the potential of paper as a support for ideas and creativity,” said Goff. The exhibition presents contemporary works on paper by 29 international artists whose work highlights the ever-evolving potential of contemporary drawing through a variety of techniques, forms, and approaches that move beyond the perceived limits of paper as an artistic substrate and medium. Artist in this exhibition include: Isabel Albrecht, Alice Attie, Jill Baroff, Omar Barquet, Todd Bura, Jonathan Callan, Johanna Calle, Raffaella Chiara, Marcus Civin, Martí Cormand, Jamal Cyrus, Annabel Daou, Mauro Giaconi, Sergio Gutiérrez, Jacob El Hanani, Susan Hefuna, Christine Hiebert, Kim Jones, Károly Keserü, Jose Luis Landet, Marco Maggi, Ruben Ochoa, Bernardo Ortiz, Sebastian Rug, Simon Schubert, Diana de Solares, Allyson Strafella, Julianne Swartz, and Lynne Woods Turner…”
